How to schedule Email Campaigns
- Check your Listmonk. You need a running Listmonk reachable from the internet over http:// or https://, and a Listmonk username and password that can read settings and lists and create campaigns.
- Connect Listmonk. On the calendar page choose Add Channel, then ListMonk. Enter the URL of your Listmonk, your username and your password, then save. PostDelegate reads your Listmonk settings to check the details and uses your site name as the channel name.
- Write the campaign. Choose Create Post and select the Listmonk channel. Enter the subject, optional preview text, and write the email body as HTML.
- Choose list and template, then schedule. Choose the list, and a template or Default. Pick a date and time and choose Add to Calendar. Send a test through Listmonk itself first.
What you can publish to Listmonk
Listmonk is newsletter software you host yourself. Connecting it lets PostDelegate create a campaign in your Listmonk and start it on a schedule, so a newsletter can sit on the same calendar as the social posts that announce it.
The editor writes HTML, and you put pictures inside the content where they should appear, using images from the media library. Attachments are not sent. You choose the subject, the preview text shown beside it in many inboxes, the list and an optional template.
- Connect your own Listmonk with its URL, username and password.
- Write the email as HTML, with a subject and preview text.
- Choose the list and an optional template.
Listmonk post settings
| Setting | Notes |
|---|---|
| Subject | Required. The email subject. |
| Preview | The preview text shown next to the subject in many inboxes. |
| List | Required. Choose from the lists in your Listmonk. |
| Template | Optional. Choose a Listmonk template, or Default. |
Before connecting
- Publishing starts the campaign. When the post goes out, PostDelegate creates a regular campaign on your chosen list and sets it to running, which sends it.
- Use a PostDelegate draft to hold a campaign back, and send a test through Listmonk itself first.
Read the Listmonk guide in our documentation for connection steps, post settings and troubleshooting.
Plan Listmonk with the rest of your channels
Listmonk sits on the same calendar as every other channel you connect. In one post you can pick several channels, write the content once and adjust it for each, and every channel keeps its own settings. Save a draft to review a post first, choose Add to Calendar to schedule it, or choose Post now to send it immediately. The scheduling guide covers drafts, repeats, previews and time slots.
Use Claude or ChatGPT with Listmonk
PostDelegate runs an MCP server, so an assistant you already use can look at your Listmonk channel, read its rules and create a draft for you to review. AI is bring-your-own, and PostDelegate never charges for it. Setup guides: Claude, ChatGPT, and what a social media MCP server is.
Review the whole post
Check the destination, wording, media and time before scheduling. Look at the result in your workspace after publication; a queued item is not a published-post confirmation.
