Short answer
To keep Postiz but stop running it, use a hosted Postiz-based service such as PostDelegate (fewer networks live today). To self-host on PHP, look at Mixpost. To build posting into your own app, use an API such as Zernio. For a simple hosted scheduler, try Buffer or Post Bridge. Or stay on Postiz Cloud.
Why people look for an alternative
- Self-hosting upkeep. The Postiz stack runs several services, including Temporal, and someone has to back it up and upgrade it.
- Network app reviews. Self-hosters register their own developer app with every network. Postiz itself notes that Meta and YouTube reviews usually take more than a month.
- Price. Postiz Cloud starts at $29 a month, and a few channels can cost less elsewhere.
- Fit. Some people want a PHP stack, a one-time license, an API for their own product, or a simpler tool for one person.
Quick picks by need
- Postiz, but hosted for you: Postiz Cloud, or PostDelegate.
- Self-host on a PHP stack: Mixpost (Lite is free and MIT-licensed; Pro is $299 once).
- An API for your own product: Zernio, priced per connected account with two free.
- One to three channels on a budget: Buffer, which has a free plan.
- One person, up to 15 accounts: Post Bridge Marketer at $39 a month.

Scroll sideways on small screens. "Not listed" means the vendor's pages we checked do not say, so we left it out rather than guess.
Hosted Postiz-based option: PostDelegate
We should be plain about this one, because it is ours. PostDelegate runs the Postiz code, modified and published under AGPL-3.0. What you gain over self-hosting is that we run the servers and backups, we hold the network developer apps, and you email us for support instead of debugging Temporal. What you give up is control: you do not choose the server, the code version or when upgrades land.
It is not a drop-in replacement for everything Postiz Cloud does today. 16 networks connect now; Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn and X are waiting for each platform's approval. AI runs on your own OpenAI key rather than included credits, and there is no AI video generation.
Self-hosted: Mixpost
Mixpost is the main self-hosted alternative with a different stack: PHP, MySQL and Redis. Lite is free under MIT but covers only Facebook Pages, X and Mastodon. Pro costs $299 once for a year of updates and adds the other networks, an API, webhooks, an MCP server and unlimited workspaces. See Postiz vs Mixpost for the full breakdown.
Social media API: Zernio
Zernio is a different kind of tool: an API for developers who want to add posting, messaging or analytics to their own product. It charges per connected account (the first two are free, then $6 each up to 10 and $3 each up to 100) and lists an MCP server. If you used Postiz mainly through its API, it is worth a look; if you want a calendar for your team, it is not the same thing.
Simple hosted schedulers: Buffer and Post Bridge
Buffer prices per channel and has a free plan for 3 channels, so it is often cheapest for small setups, and it includes MCP even on Free. Post Bridge is built for one person: $39 a month for 15 accounts with its API and MCP connection included, and team members only on its $99 Operator plan. Both are hosted services. See Postiz vs Buffer for worked costs.
When to stay on Postiz
Plenty of people should not switch. Stay if you already self-host and the server is quiet, if you need networks only Postiz Cloud has approved today, if you use the included AI image and video allowances, or if you want features the moment the Postiz team ships them. Postiz is actively developed, and it is the project PostDelegate is built on.
Where PostDelegate fits
PostDelegate is Postiz underneath, hosted and run by Nasida Apps LLC, so it is the closest swap if your issue is running Postiz rather than Postiz itself. It is cheaper than Postiz Cloud at each tier and the trial needs no card. It reaches fewer networks today.
