Pricing and the step between plans
Loomly publishes two self-serve plans on monthly billing: Starter at $65 for 12 social accounts and 3 users, and Beyond at $332 for 60 accounts and unlimited users. Above 61 accounts it is quoted. What makes that structure unusual is the absence of a per-account add-on — there is no way to buy a thirteenth account on Starter, so crossing twelve means a five-fold increase in the bill.
PostDelegate's ladder is flatter: $19 for 5 channels, $29 for 10, $39 for 30, $79 for 100. Ten channels cost $29 against $65; thirty cost $39 against $332. If you sit at eight or nine accounts and expect to grow, the shape of that step is worth more attention than the entry price.
Their page opens on yearly billing, where the two plans read $49 and $249 a month; the figures above are monthly billing. Yearly plans there are charged upfront and cannot be ended early.
Networks
This is where the two genuinely diverge rather than merely cost different amounts. Loomly lists Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Google Business Profile, Pinterest and Snapchat. It does not list X, and it does not list Bluesky.
PostDelegate publishes to 18 networks today, and the overlap is smaller than the totals suggest: YouTube and Google Business Profile are on both lists, while Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Tumblr, Twitch, Kick, Dribbble, DEV.to, Medium, WordPress, Hashnode, Lemmy, Nostr and Listmonk are on ours and not theirs. In the other direction, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads and Pinterest are on theirs and not yet on ours — those are waiting on platform approval here — and X is on neither.
So the honest summary is that these two tools serve different publishing surfaces. If your programme is Instagram and TikTok, Loomly can do it today and PostDelegate cannot. If it is developer communities, blogs, chat platforms and the open social web, the reverse is true.
Approvals, AI and automation
Loomly includes approval workflows and roles from its cheapest plan, with unlimited calendars on both, which is a genuinely good deal for an agency running many clients with a small account count each. PostDelegate puts team members on Team and above, and adds client approval links that need no account on the client's side, plus a separate review inbox for drafts an AI assistant wrote.
On AI, Loomly includes an assistant on both plans with usage described as limited or extended rather than counted, and meters social listening at two or five runs a month. PostDelegate runs AI on your own OpenAI key — you pay OpenAI, not us — which also means the assistant you already pay for can drive the product directly: the MCP server is on every plan and can schedule and publish. Loomly's pricing and integrations pages mention no API and no MCP server, listing Zapier, Slack and Microsoft Teams instead.
Where Loomly is the better pick
- You publish to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads or Pinterest today, or to Snapchat, which PostDelegate does not support at all.
- You run many client calendars with a handful of accounts each: unlimited calendars from the cheapest plan suits that shape.
- You want approval workflows on the entry plan and unlimited users on the plan above it.
- You would rather the AI allowance were part of the plan than run on your own key.
Where PostDelegate fits
- Your account count is near or above twelve, where Loomly's next step is $332 a month.
- You publish to Bluesky, Mastodon, blogs, developer communities or community chats.
- You want an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT to schedule through MCP, with a review step before anything goes out.
- You want a public API and webhooks on every plan rather than Zapier as the automation route.
What to check before choosing
- Whether the exact accounts you manage can connect and publish today.
- The monthly total for your real number of channels and people, not the headline price.
- How you want to pay for AI: included in the plan, or on your own key.
- How approvals work for your team and your clients.
- The support, subscription and data-handling terms of each service.
