Pricing and trial
Sprout Social sells seats. Essentials is $79 per seat a month with annual billing, or $99 billed monthly, and covers up to five profiles. Standard is $199 per seat a month for five profiles, Professional $299 and Advanced $399, both with unlimited profiles, and Enterprise is priced on request. Every person who needs access takes a seat.
PostDelegate plans have one price, however many people join: $19 a month for Starter, $29 for Team, $39 for Pro and $79 for Ultimate. A team of three on Sprout Social Standard comes to $597 a month. On PostDelegate Team, the same team shares 10 channels for $29 a month, and Pro covers 30 channels for $39. Yearly billing is about 20% less; see the pricing page.
Sprout Social offers the longer trial: 30 days, with no credit card needed. PostDelegate offers 7 days on every plan, also with no credit card. Add a card before the trial ends to keep your plan.
AI
Sprout Social includes an AI agent called Trellis on every plan, with 100 credits per seat a month, and adds AI Assist for posts and replies on its higher plans. More credits are sold as an add-on per seat. PostDelegate does not meter AI. An admin adds the workspace’s own OpenAI API key, and AI writing, the Agent and AI images run on that key. You pay OpenAI directly for what you use, and PostDelegate never charges for AI.
PostDelegate also opens the calendar to the assistant you already use. Its MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and other MCP clients look at your channels, draft posts and schedule them, and drafts can wait in the AI review inbox until a person approves them. The MCP server, a public REST API and webhooks come with every plan, including Starter. Sprout Social lists its API on Advanced and Enterprise.
Scope
Sprout Social covers much more than publishing. It has a Smart Inbox for messages and comments, and review management. PostDelegate does not have a social inbox, listening or review management. It concentrates on getting posts planned, approved and published: a shared calendar, post statuses, client approval links that need no account, campaigns and an ideas board, evergreen posts, bulk CSV import, a media library with uploads up to 1 GB, and analytics with daily history, trends, best times to post and reports (for networks that share statistics; today YouTube).
Channels
Sprout Social names integrations with Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit, WhatsApp, Yelp and Bluesky. PostDelegate connects 14 networks today: YouTube, Bluesky, Slack, Tumblr, Lemmy, Nostr, Twitch, Kick, Dribbble, DEV.to, Medium, WordPress, Hashnode, Listmonk (email). Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Threads, Pinterest and others are coming soon and open as each platform approves PostDelegate. They cannot be connected yet. Of Sprout Social’s list, Bluesky is the network PostDelegate connects today. The channel directory has the current list.
