Pricing and the floor
Vista Social has no small plan. Professional at $99 a month on monthly billing is the entry point and it bundles fifteen social profiles and two users, so three accounts and fifteen accounts cost the same. Advanced is $199 for thirty profiles and three users, Scale $449 for seventy and four. Extra profiles and users are listed as customisable on the top two plans only, with no price published, so there is no documented way to add a sixteenth profile to Professional.
PostDelegate starts at $19 for five channels and reaches thirty at $39. Against Vista Social's thirty-profile tier at $199, that is the headline difference. Two adjustments make the comparison fair in both directions: Vista Social's prices above are the monthly-billing figures, since its toggle opens on yearly where the same plans work out at $79, $159 and $359 a month; and X is a $29 a month add-on there rather than part of any plan.
What the extra money buys
A fair comparison has to say what $99 includes that $29 does not. Vista Social is a management suite: engagement with DM automations, review management across the Apple and Google app stores, OpenTable, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot and Yelp, listening as a $75 add-on, employee advocacy as a $199 add-on, a link-in-bio tool, and reporting built for client delivery. PostDelegate has none of those. It publishes, it approves, and it reports on the networks that share statistics — today YouTube and Google Business Profile.
For a business whose reputation lives in reviews, or an agency delivering branded reports, that list is the product and the price difference is not really a price difference at all.
Two MCP servers, compared honestly
Vista Social ships one of the better MCP servers in this category and it deserves saying plainly: it is included on all paid plans, it exposes a wide tool set across scheduling, analytics, inbox, ideas, media and reporting, and access follows the signed-in user's own role permissions rather than a blanket token. If your goal is an assistant that can answer questions about your social performance, theirs reaches further than ours.
PostDelegate's MCP server is on every plan, publishes and schedules, and is paired with a review inbox so that drafts an assistant creates can wait for a person. Our bet is narrower: that the valuable thing for an agent to do is put the right post in the calendar at the right time, under supervision. Both are reasonable bets, and this is the one comparison on the page where the cheaper tool is not obviously the more capable one.
The REST API is the reverse of the MCP story. Vista Social's is Enterprise-only or a paid add-on with no published price; PostDelegate's is on every plan, with webhooks.
Where Vista Social is the better pick
- You need X: it is a $29 add-on there and not available here at all.
- Reviews are part of your job — the app stores, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot and Yelp in one place.
- You want an assistant that can read analytics, the inbox and reporting over MCP, not only schedule.
- You want listening, DM automations or employee advocacy alongside publishing.
- You publish to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest or Snapchat today.
Where PostDelegate fits
- Thirty channels for $39 a month against $199, when you do not need the suite around it.
- You would rather pay OpenAI directly for AI than buy a monthly credit allowance.
- You want a REST API and webhooks on the cheapest plan rather than on Enterprise.
- You publish to Bluesky, Mastodon, blogs, developer communities or community chats.
What to check before choosing
- Whether the exact accounts you manage can connect and publish today.
- The monthly total for your real number of channels and people, not the headline price.
- How you want to pay for AI: included in the plan, or on your own key.
- How approvals work for your team and your clients.
- The support, subscription and data-handling terms of each service.
